The only downside of rain is no outdoor sports, but that encourages the indoor sports. There are few indoor games which are very exciting as well as can match excitement of any outdoor sports. Carrom certainly fits that category. Students of Atmiya Vidya Mandir enjoyed the first ever Inter House Carrom Competition in the second half of July 2013.
Although carrom is played regularly at AVM, this was the first occasion when the competition was held. Announcement of the competition created a buzz around the school and the presence of obvious excitement was felt amongst the students from all classes.
