Excellence indeed has no barriers!

There’s a weird time at times, when there is no synchronisation between our mind and the body! The excitement is too much to handle. I am going through the same time whilst typing this article and so are the hard and smart working teachers of Atmiya Vidya Mandir!

The D day has finally come and CBSE 10th board exam results are out! We are proud to witness the excellence of the first batch of students of our school! Atmiya Vidya Mandir students have made the school and their parents proud. Achieving 100% result as a school was never a good enough benchmark. Param Pujya Swamiji, the Founder – Inspirer of Atmiya Vidya Mandir had set a benchmark of a minimum of 7 CGPA and only one score is below 7 - that too 6.8 CGPA, almost 7 CGPA you’d say!

Take a bow to the brightest stars of today and forever...

Sarthak Jariwala achieved a perfect score of 10 CGPA!

50% of the class achieved a CGPA of above 9!

Congratulations to all the students, teachers and parents on these awesome results!

Excellence has no barriers

In the early part of the 19th century, Michael Faraday, a self-made scientist, in his quest for excellence, discovered the semiconductor effect. This quest continued throughout the decades and centuries that followed during which the pro-active scientists, engineers, businessmen, committed world citizens contributed their best.

Their “small steps” each turned out to be “giant leaps” for the mankind and one cannot help but be in awe considering the advancements made in any field today.

At Atmiya Vidya Mandir, we are proud to take one such small step in our commitment towards providing excellence to our dearest students. It is a great pleasure to announce our partnership with ViSiON IIT Kota – Surat, beginning this academic year from June 2010. As part of this initiative, the students of Class 11 Science (and 12 Science next year onwards) will be offered an integrated school programme:

- To target overall academic excellence in the 11th and 12th CBSE board exams

- To prepare them for competitive exams like IIT-JEE, AIPMT, SAT-AP, AIEEE and CET

The integrated approach will ensure optimal use of the students’ time and efforts for academics (and preparing for such reputed exams like IIT-JEE) which will also provide them the opportunity to further enhance the essential 21st century life skills like leadership, social responsibility and adaptability.

Furthermore, the school has experienced many a young lives getting positively transformed in its mere 6 years since inception, the very fact which makes Atmiya Vidya Mandir a truly unique and life-transforming alma mater!

We look forward to many such small steps...

God – Prayer -- Me

Prayer, the word gives security, it gives satisfaction. People have choice of gods to offer prayers, different gods for different people but what is common between them is their belief. I was wondering why one should pray or if that really matters. If I think rationally, not spiritually, I liked the definition of prayer by Gautam Buddha – He says best prayer is patience.

I feel the most obvious reason we should believe in God is, many a times you reach a situation where you give it all but nothing happens, at that point of time if you believe in something like God you won’t give up you look up to Him for the solution.

Life is not impossible without prayer, but the quality and meaning of life.

I like what Harivanshrai Bachan said to his son Amitabh Bachan. It was not the talent of Amitabh Bachan that took him to the heights; it was the words of his father that didn’t allow him to give up in adverse conditions.

‘jo mann ka ho vo accha aur jo mann ka na ho vo aur bhi accha,
kyu ki vo ishvar ke mann ka hota hai aur vo kabhi ki bura nahi karte’.

जो मन का हो वो अच्छा , और जो मन का ना हो वो और भी अच्छा
क्युकी वो इश्वर के मन का होता है और वो कभी किसी का बुरा नहीं करता |

It is not the talent of Sachin Tendulkar that scores 100 after 100, but him thanking God after every 100.

Praying is an inward journey and belief is the fuel.

It is not the talent that gets you 100 century or title of Millennium superstar, but the faith the belief when you are out on zero or you film is flop.

You can score a 100 or have a good movie by your talent, but to be consistent you have to believe in Him, you have to pray when you fail in the journey towards your goal.

If your inward journey is ---------------, your outer journey will be easy and you will overcome all the obstacles and achieve your goal.

The bad Boy: Please understand me.

Hi,
For last five years I have been in the teaching profession and let me share my observation with you.
The creativity of a student starts on the last page and ends on the first page as he writes what he is inspired to on last page and he writes what he is compelled to on the initial pages.

I visited a school for a science exhibition, a unique place where I found a student explaining a concept to a teacher. Unique because this seldom happens and is rarely seen. A question arose in my mind, every teacher as a student must have studied the same concept in school but he or she forgotten it in time. The same is the predicament with the student.

A student doesn’t respect the one who teaches very well or one who is very qualified, but he respects one who treats him special.
In today’s society everyone is allowed to commit mistakes e.g.-doctor, engineer, etc. but a student has to pay a heavy price for it.
· This is what the weakest student in the class maybe thinking:
"As I am weakest in academics in my class,
I am always scared of writing because I always make spelling mistakes.
I am always afraid of speaking because I make grammatical mistakes.
I can’t get myself to ask questions in class as they are too simple and make others laugh.
I trace my teacher but he is away from me, engaged with someone who hardly needs him.
· My poor academic affected my co curricular activity.
I cannot participate in debate,
My poetry and thoughts are rubbish,
Last thing that could have bought color in my life i.e. arts, I feel has rejected me.
· People say God blesses everyone with something special that makes him worthy of respect.

Why does no one takes the pain to identify the gift in me and as I need to feel special too."

From,
Just (NEED TO) pass.
