Following the impressive performances in the district level table tennis competition and getting selected to play at the state level, the best of the table tennis players of AVM looked forward to the Gujarat State Level Table Tennis Competition 2014-15.
The under 19 competition was held at the Surat Officer’s Gymkhana, Athwalines (Surat). 105 participants from 21 districts of Gujarat participated in this state level table tennis competition. 5 of them were from Atmiya Vidya Mandir: Krutarth J. Patel, Niramay J. Tanna, Uttam P. Italiya, Jil H. Patel and Divya K. Patel (all from class 11). These students gave their best performances and reached quarter finals of the competition.
The best 11 out of these 105 best players of Gujarat in the u-19 category were shortlisted, and it was a proud moment for the school that Jil Patel was one of these top 11. Ultimately, 5 out of these 11 were selected to represent Gujarat in the national league matches.
The under 14 category competition was held in Rajkot. Krutarth C. Patel of class 7 represented Atmiya Vidya Mandir at this competition.
The competition certainly helped boost the confidence of the students while also giving them an opportunity to learn from some of the best players of the country.
